Rs 53.24 lakh disbursed as SDRF in Gool : Javed Mustafa | KNO

Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Mr Javed Mustafa Mir informed the House that the Government has disbursed Rs 53.24 lakh among the landslide families of Gool. He said in the month of March-April 2014 a landslide occurred at Village Gundi (Butas) in which many houses were damaged and families rendered houseless and landless. Replying to a question by Mr Aijaz Ahmad Khan, the Minister said that the relief amounting to Rs 53.24 lakh was disbursed among the families of villages Butas, Sailkund and Deedah of Tehsil Gool as per norms of SDRF, PMNRF and PMDP-2015. Meanwhile the Minister said that eight seasonal houses were damaged on 24.07.2017 due to landslide in Narmala village of Tehsil Gool of District Ramban of which seven houses were in forest area, which are not covered under SDRF norms. He said that the relief case of one house which was on private land is under process while eight tents were provided to the sufferers on the spot.(KNO)
